Job Details
Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in General Practice within UCD School of Medicine.
The purpose of this post is to support teaching and learning of undergraduate and graduate courses in General Practice, specifically the subject's contribution to the UCD Graduate Diploma in Primary Care Nursing Practice.
The post will involve teaching and support of General Practice specific modules and the provision of high- quality scholarship. The post holder will also support the establishment of clinical placements at new general practices and contribute to clinical teaching at these sites and to the medical degree programme generally in the subject area.
The post holder will also contribute to teaching and learning and curriculum development of the undergraduate programme and graduate programmes as deemed appropriate, and to academic leadership in general.
The post holder will further the development of the School and foster collaboration with other disciplines and institutions nationally and internationally and demonstrate a willingness to establish the School as an international centre for excellence in terms of taught professional programmes.
This specific programme; the Graduate Diploma in Primary Care Nursing Practice (PCNP) is a funded programme from the Government of Ireland and Pobal under the Sl intecare Integration Innovation Fund (SIIF) Round 2, Theme 4 `An Education Programme that supports general practice, primary care and community nurses and midwives in achieving the `Stay Left, Shift Left strategy' and supports the implementation of Sl intecare.
95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar (7943) Salary Scale: €62,233 - €98,548 Per Annum Pro Rata @ 0.5FTE
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
