Your personal sphere of play:
Your future position will be at the Department of Food Chemistry and Toxicology. In Doris Marko's research group you will find excellent opportunities for research in the field of food toxicology. The research work focuses on mass-spectrometric investigations into the occurrence and metabolism of mycotoxins and possible interactions with bioactive food components or pharmaceuticals. In collaboration with a network of national and international cooperation partners, contributions are made to the risk assessment of corresponding products. The Department is part of the Faculty of Chemistry and has access to various core facilities, such as the mass-spectrometry center and the NMR center.
Your future tasks:
You will be actively involved in research, teaching and administration:
- You will be involved in research projects and scientific studies in the field of analytical food chemistry and toxicological chemistry with a focus on mass-spectrometric investigations (untargeted/targeted).
- You will publish internationally and give lectures.
- You will provide support in applying for projects and acquiring third-party funding.
- You will hold courses independently, primarily in the field of food chemistry, in accordance with the regulations of the collective contract.
- You will take on administrative tasks in research and teaching.
This is part of your personality:
- Completed doctoral/PhD studies in chemistry, life sciences or similar with a focus on mass-spectrometry (targeted/untargeted)
- Proven research competence & initiative through international publications in peer relevant media
- Experience in the acquisition of third-party funding desirable
- Didactic skills / experience in academic teaching, preferably in the field of food chemistry / knowledge of e-learning desirable
- IT skills
- Excellent knowledge of English (C1) and knowledge of German desirable
- Team player with high social/communication skills
