What you can expect:
The Department for Tax Law is looking for a research assistant (prae doc) with strong interest in issues concerning tax law in order to support research and teaching in the fields of tax law. The announcement is made for four years, whereby the employment relationship is initially limited to 1.5 years and is automatically extended to a total of four years, unless the employer submits a declaration of non-renewal after a maximum of 12 months.
Your future tasks:
You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- We expect you to finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
- You participate in publications / academic articles.
- You are involved in research projects and scientific studies .
- Yor are involved in the organisation of conferences, meetings, symposiums.
- You apply for projects and raise (external) funds.
- Independent teaching of courses defined by the collective agreement
- You supervize students.
- You participate in evaluation activities and in quality assurance
- You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
This is part of your personality:
- MA in the study field law
- Professional competence: Knowledge of especially Austrian tax law
- Methodological competencies: Jurisprudential methods
- Knowledge of principles of teaching
- High ability to express yourself both orally and in writing
- Excellent command of written and spoken German
- High command of written and spoken English
- IT user skills
- Ability to work in team
