Job Details
Th Programme Manager role is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who wishes to further strengthen their educational administrative and management skills. This role sits within the Policy Institute which is part of the Faculty of Social Science and Public Policy, King’s College London.
About the role
The Institute wishes to appoint a Programme Manager who will assist in the management and delivery of residential, online and blended education support services for students and academic staff. The appointee will work as part of a team to ensure consistent management and delivery of all educational offerings in the Institute through providing high quality administrative support. They will be responsible for the operational management of programmes, modules and short courses across the School, ensuring timely and effective delivery in accordance with university and School priorities, timelines and policies.
The appointee will provide leadership and line management to Senior Programme Officer(s) and dotted line for the Student and Business Support officer. The appointee will contribute to strategic planning, the design and implementation of new systems and processes; programme development and delivery; always ensuring the provision of a high level of service to both students and staff. They will be responsible for the effective distribution of education support across these programmes and the quality of service provided.
This is a full-time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite.

About youTo be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential Criteria
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- Proven ability to plan own workload, work to tight deadlines and manage multiple projects, reprioritising or adapting as necessary.
- Excellent analytical and information processing skills including the ability to assimilate large and complex sets of information quickly and accurately.
- Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft office suit (word, excel, outlook, SharePoint) and other relevant software applications.
- Experience of stakeholder management, ability to work with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders in a professional and assured manner.
- An understanding of and desire to improve the student experience.
- Evidence of Line management experience
- Experience in using educational technology platforms for programme management such as KEATS/Moodle, SITS and other records systems specific to HE.
Desirable criteria
- Experience in motivating and inspiring team members to achieve common goals utilising effective interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to equality and diversity in the workplace.
- Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
