Applications are invited for an appointment as Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer(s) in the School of Biomedical Sciences at The University of Hong Kong (Ref.:527550), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. or an M.D. degree and be highly motivated in teaching and learning, with demonstrated experience and excellence in the teaching of anatomy and physiology for medical, nursing, pharmacy, or biomedical sciences undergraduate programmes. They should also have strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to work independently and as a team; and be able to multi-task. The position offered will depend on the level of expertise and years of teaching experience of successful candidates – a minimum of 3 years for Lecturer. Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant Lecturer.

The appointee will be responsible for teaching, conducting tutorials and demonstrations, supporting curriculum design, and developing teaching materials, etc. They will work closely with a team of colleagues dedicated to the development and delivery of innovative pedagogical approaches to improve student learning across several undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for Lecturer, or up to 10% of basic salary for Assistant Lecturer.
