Assistant Professor in Government and International Studies (23240882)

Applications are invited for the appointment of a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Academy of Geography, Sociology and International Studies of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. 

The appointee is expected to strengthen the Academy’s research and contribute to teaching in one or more of the following areas: 

  1. European Government and Politics
  2. Public Policy (especially health and well-being related)
  3. International Relations

It would also be advantageous if candidates are able to contribute to the French language teaching needs or have expertise in advanced quantitative methods. Associate Professors with publicly-funded research will also be considered for appointment with tenure subject to the University’s approval.

The appointee will be expected to conduct original research and contribute to teaching. Applicants should have a relevant PhD degree, teaching and research experience in higher education appropriate to their seniority, and a strong publication record. The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of three years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
