Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor (RAP) in the State Key Laboratory of Brain and Cognitive Sciences (SKL), the Department of Psychology (Ref.: 527545), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, renewable subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree with a specialisation in Psychology, Neuropsychology, Human Neuroscience or related fields. They should have strong expertise and track record in neuroimaging experimental design and data modelling/analysis; knowledge and experience with advanced statistical techniques and database management; excellent written and oral communication skills; and the ability to work independently and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Solid programming skills and experience of computational modelling would be advantages.
The RAP will develop research programmes independently, write scientific publications, grant proposals and reports, supervise junior research staff and students, and assist in administrative, operational and other duties as assigned. There will be opportunities for participation in teaching programmes.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of the basic salary.
