Position overview

NCI is Australia’s leading national provider of high-end computational and data-intensive services, with a well-respected reputation for its services, expertise and innovation. The Cloud System Administrator will develop, maintain and operate a scalable cloud service comprising generic and discipline specific on-demand clusters, data-intensive software stacks, end-user workflows, for use on NCI and external cloud systems.

The Cloud System Administrator will report to the Cloud System Manager and is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy whilst providing high-level procurement support to NCI.

The Cloud System Administrator focuses on the programming of software infrastructure and utilities to manage and use large-scale high-performance cloud systems. Designing and planning of infrastructure and services which advance NCI Cloud Services and data-intensive capabilities and services, with a particular focus on the Cloud System.
