Applications are invited for a Temporary (12 month) post of a Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 or Level 2 within UCD School of Biomolecular & Biomedical Science.

This project builds on the development of patented libraries of engineered proteins that will be used to select binding proteins against G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). GPCRs in inflammatory, metabolic and oncology disease pathways will be the focus of intensive biochemical and biophysical analysis with selected protein binders from the libraries towards identification of lead candidate therapeutic molecules for clinical investigation. The translational nature of the project will feed into the development of a spin out company from UCD. A focus on GPCR biochemistry, phage display, mammalian tissue cell culture and genomic editing will be developed in combination with commercial activities exploring opportunities for business development.

This is a research focused role, where you will conduct a specified programme of research supported by research training and development under the supervision and direction of a Principal Investigator.

Post Doc Level 1 Salary Scale: €44347 - €50805 per annum.

Post Doc Level 2 Salary Scale: €52,193 - €56,764 per annum

Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
