Job description

Due to the growth of the Healthcare Apprenticeships and Higher Technical Qualifications at UCB, this is an exciting opportunity for a registered professional (NMC or HCPC) with clinical experience, to join our innovative and forwarding thinking team.

In this role, the successful applicant will gain experience of teaching and assessing students and apprentices across the range of Health and Nursing programmes, (including apprenticeships), in our new, purpose-built facilities in Moss House and the Health, Skills and Simulation Suite which includes a range of interactive and immersive teaching equipment including simulation mannequins, part-task trainers, Virtual Reality equipment and Immersive Technology 360-degree Video Wall - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id5xwZI5VEA

The applicant will provide specialist input to ensure that healthcare principles are embedded into both theory and practical sessions, across the Assistant Practitioner Foundation degree (direct entry and apprenticeship) curricula. Acting also as a Personal Tutor and Link Tutor, the role is multifaceted with the successful applicant supporting students throughout their university journey and their programme of study.

Educated to a minimum of Foundation degree level with current registration on the NMC or HCPC register, is essential for this role, along with experience of teaching and assessing students in clinical practice.

The successful candidate will be supported to undertake professional development to enhance teaching and learning, including the achievement of a recognised teaching qualification if not already held.
