About the role

As Senior Alumni & Stakeholder Engagement Officer you will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of innovative engagement and volunteering initiatives for King’s Business School alumni community and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Head of Alumni & Stakeholder Engagement and working closely with colleagues across the faculty and Fundraising & Supporter Development, you will be creative in your approach, providing a range of opportunities for alumni and stakeholders to meaningfully connect with and support King’s Business School. You’ll have the opportunity to lead projects from start to finish, setting goals, measuring success, and evaluating impact of activities.

 

A key element of this role is to strengthen senior alumni and stakeholder engagement across academic and strategic faculty activities. You will manage relationships with a portfolio of alumni and connect them with volunteering and engagement opportunities which advances the School’s strategy.

 

The role will deliver personalised relationship management and engagement to the School’s key stakeholder groups. In doing so, it will develop new and creative ways to engage our community with the School’s work.

 

The successful candidate will bring excellent organisational and project management skills combined with set goals, evaluate impact, and make recommendations for improvement. They will need to be a great relationship builder and confident communicating with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

 

You will be part of an External Engagement Team within King’s Business School with a dotted line to the College’s Fundraising and Supporter Development. The post-holder will need to demonstrate ability to build effective relationships and projects across both departments.

 

This is a full time, and you will be offered an indefinite contract.

About You

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

 

Essential criteria

  1. Significant event or project management experience
  2. Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with a variety of stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  4. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  5. Knowledge of digital events tools such as webinars and/or online community platforms
  6. Ability to prioritise workload and juggle simultaneous commitments
  7. Flexible approach and willingness to attend events/commitments outside of regular office hours and travel internationally when required
  8. Team player attitude with a willingness to step in to support others where needed
  9. Experience efficiently managing budgets and monitoring ROI

Desirable criteria

  1. Educated to degree level or equivalent
  2. Experience working in higher education or similar setting
  3. Experience of working in alumni relations and/or membership organisation or charities
  4. Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge, Microsoft Dynamics or other relationship management software
  5. Line management experience

This role includes three stages of interviews: an online panel interview with a written test, a second online interview, and a Core Values interview. 

  • Panel Interview with written test: 2 - 3 September
  • Second interview: 4 - 5 September 
  • Core Values interview: 6 September
