About the Role
The Executive Assistant will provide tailored executive support by coordinating a range of complex administrative, logistical, and organisational tasks and functions, for and on behalf of, the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor. Pivotal to bringing order, efficiency and excellence to the Portfolio, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy and will be responsible for managing a diverse range of high level, complex and confidential tasks.
In addition to the above, the Executive Assistant will also:
- Prepare, research, edit and distribute correspondence, agendas, minutes, briefs, reports, and presentations.
- Manage calendars and respond to incoming and outgoing enquiries autonomously in line with University policy and procedure.
- Assist in organising events, conferences, and functions on behalf of the Portfolio.
About You
With your demonstrated experience in executive and administration support, you will be a self-motivated and agile individual with excellent diplomatic interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. You will have well-developed problem-solving skills and an ability to listen and interpret the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor’s needs, whilst exercising personal judgement, initiative, and confidentiality to support the activities of Senior Management.
To be successful in this role you will also demonstrate:
- Commitment to high quality outcomes, including an attention to detail, the ability to research and collate information from a wide range of sources, and an ability to relate tasks to the wider context.
- Sound knowledge of contemporary administrative systems, software, and practices.
- An ability to interpret and apply a range of relevant policies and procedures within a large and complex organisation.
- Experience assisting organising and administering events or functions.
