The Planetary Group in the Physics Department at New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a research assistant to work under Professor Ian Dobbs-Dixon.

The successful applicant will participate in theoretical research projects associated with extrasolar planets including light curve analysis, radiative physics, and n-body simulations. These projects utilize state of the art James Webb Space Telescope data. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists, graduate students and undergraduate students.

Applicants must have completed a Batchelor’s Degree in physics, astronomy, or related field. Experience in extrasolar planetary research at the undergraduate level is required.

The terms of employment are very competitive and include housing and educational subsidies for children.
