Job Details
The Food Experience and Sensory Testing (Feast) lab in the School of Food Technology and Natural Sciences, Massey University, is seeking applicants to apply for a 1FTE 12-month fixed-term position in Consumer and Sensory Science as a Research Officer in its exciting state-of-the-art laboratory.
The successful applicant will work with researchers on its Consumer Dimensions of Future Foods projects and contribute to a culture of research success and excellence within Feast. They will be supervised by Professor Joanne Hort but work alongside other researchers in the team.
We require applicants to have:
- a Masters or PhD qualification in Food Science/Technology or relevant related disciplines is preferred. Applicants without postgraduate qualifications may be offered a Junior Research Officer role
- a sound understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods and analysis in sensory and consumer science is needed, along with prior experience in running Consumer sensory studies as well as manuscript preparation and reporting on research findings
- experience working in a collaborative team environment is essential.
The salary range for this role is $81,172 - $103,595 (NZD). Salary will be negotiable by background/experience.
