Job description
University College Birmingham is seeking a visionary Deputy Vice-Chancellor to progress our journey towards excellence in student success.
Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor and Principal, as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Chief Academic Officer & Student Success), you will drive the development and implementation of a transformational strategy to elevate student success at UCB, throughout all stages of the academic journey. You will provide executive leadership and strategic management to our Pro-Vice-Chancellors and leaders of crucial departments, including student recruitment, marketing, admissions and learning services, and enhance our employability offerings.
To succeed in this role, you will need to understand the regulatory and commercial challenges faced by post-92 institutions in Higher Education, as well as those posed by shifting student expectations, alongside a deep understanding of OfS conditions of registration relating to access, participation and outcomes. You will be a strong strategic collaborator and an experienced, natural executive leader, committed to ensuring students from diverse backgrounds can achieve the best possible outcomes, and possess a proven track record of leading transformational change and sustainable improvements, particularly in student services, recruitment and employability.
