Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) invites outstanding academics to apply for faculty position as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Full Professor in Media and Society.

Candidates should have scholarly expertise in one or more of the following areas: digital media, computer-mediated communication, media policy, media literacy, media and culture, media and social change, journalism, media management, media ethics, or media and globalisation.

The successful candidate should possess a PhD degree in related disciplines and a strong track of publication record commensurate with career stage (e.g., publishing in established peer-reviewed journals in the discipline, securing and managing externally funded research, organising conference panels and workshops), and effective teaching and training of undergraduate and/or graduate students commensurate with career stage.

Emoluments

Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The University offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package.

About Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF)

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
