Applications are invited for a permanent post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Biochemistry and Microbiology within UCD School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science.

The UCD School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science is offering a permanent, full-time Lectureship/Assistant Professorship to contribute to our taught undergraduate (BSc) and postgraduate (MSc) programmes, with a primary focus in the areas of Biochemistry and Microbiology. It is expected that the successful candidate will provide leadership and expertise in the implementation of research in an area of microbial biochemistry, such as microbial enzymes and proteins, microbial metabolism and biotechnology.

The BSc and MSc programmes delivered by the School are amongst the most popular in UCD Science. The successful candidate will join a vibrant teaching- and research-intensive School and actively participate in the design and delivery of teaching modules at fundamental and advanced levels of the undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum.

We are looking to recruit an individual with a proven track record of research and publication, who will establish a vibrant, interdisciplinary and extramurally funded research programme that complements current research expertise in the School

95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar Salary Scale: €62,233 - €98,548 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
