About the role
Reporting directly to the Pro Vice Chancellor, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, you will be responsible for the operational and strategic leadership of the SAHCP.
You will oversee and evolve the overall SAHCP delivery programme, ensuring it builds to be an integral partnership with impactful projects. You will lead on initiating strategic business relationships to further the SAHCP strategy, alongside nurturing those already in place.
This is a one-year fixed term post in the first instance.

You will likely come from a life sciences (or similar) background, with a strong understanding of business development and delivery. You will have operational knowledge of how to deliver projects from ideation to commercialisation through partnership working and an ability to generate funding models.
Possessing a high level of commercial acumen, you will be able to represent the SAHCP at a local, national, and international level. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate leadership skills, a passion for partnerships, and a strategic mindset to drive the SAHCP to new heights.
Adept at dealing with complex challenges, you will possess excellent analytical, planning, and communication skills. You will be expected to identify areas of continuous improvement and meet changing demands, along with identifying and developing funding streams that support SAHCP initiatives.
What we can offer
In addition to salary, you will receive a generous annual leave entitlement of 25 days holiday plus 7 university closure days and 8 bank holidays, an excellent pension, access to world-class leisure facilities on campus, a range of travel schemes, and supportive family friendly benefits including our highly rated on-site nursery.
