Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering (to commence as soon as possible for 1 year with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Creative Media, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or any related subjects. Good knowledge and proficiency in real-time interactive application dev elopment using Unity or other similar game engines are required. Knowledge of computer programming and prior experience in virtual reality (VR) / augmented reality (AR) / mixed reality (MR) / extended reality (XR) systems and programming are necessary. Strong publication records and experience in preparing research proposals are advantageous. Knowledge and experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence are beneficial.
The appointee will work in a research group of Dr. Y.H. Kuo on significant research projects that build cutting-edge VR/AR/MR/XR technologies for use in different VR/AR/MR/XR solutions, assist in preparing research proposals, and educate students and VR/AR/MR/XR developers/users on the technologies and research outcomes.
