At the Faculty of Education, the Institute of Vocational Education and Vocational Didactics invites applications for the

Chair (W2) of Vocational Didactics of Mechatronics

to be filled at the earliest possible date.

We expect you (m/f/x) to represent the didactics of the vocational disciplines listed below in teaching, to achieve excellent relevant research results and to help shape the profile of our Faculty in a forward- looking manner. At your Chair, you will be responsible for the following disciplines as part of the degree program in Teacher Training for Vocational Schools:

  • Vocational didactics of Metals and Machine Technology,
  • Vocational didactics of Electrical and Computer Engineering and
  • Vocational didactics of Automotive Engineering.

We expect you to be actively involved in the continued development of the mentioned disciplines and to systematically promote early-career researchers. We are looking for cooperation at national and international level, and close professional collaboration within the Faculty of Education and with the engineering faculties at TUD. We expect your collaboration in the Center for Teacher Education and Educational Research (ZLSB) and in the interdisciplinary research networks of TUD as well as your participation in academic self-administration.

We are looking for a highly committed and responsible research personality with relevant academic teaching expertise who has already successfully acquired third-party funding projects. We expect you to have a relevant degree, relevant publications and work experience in third-party funded projects. The requirements for appointment, the official duties and the administrative status are governed by

§§ 59, 69, 71 of the Institutions of Higher Education Act in the Free State of Saxony (SächsHSG) and the Regulations on Duties and Responsibilities of Institutes of Higher Education (HSDAVO).
