Research Assistant at UBD School of Business and Economics

The UBD School of Business and Economics research team is leading a study on the “Comparative Analysis of the Impact of Entrepreneurial Leadership on the Performance of ASEAN Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ASMEs): The Moderating Role of Environmental Turbulence.” We seek to hire one (1) part-time research assistant for a period of two (2) months starting starting from September 1 to November 1, 2024.

The Role

We seek candidates who have a strong quantitative background in business and management research methodology, and a strong desire to learn other analytical tools. More importantly, we are looking for candidates with a strong interest and knowledge in entrepreneurship, management, and development economics. Good experience in data collection, literature review, and regression analysis would be an added advantage.

As a research assistant, you will develop and apply your range of quantitative and qualitative research skills, including desk-based research, literature review, data management, and quantitative data analysis.

Minimum requirements

• Brunei citizen
• Degree in Management, Business Administration or Economics (preferably) or related
• Ability to collect literature review, data, and relevant research skills
• Familiar with data management in Excel and SPSS; working with Stata or E-views is an advantage
• Communication skills and some level of analytical and problem-solving capability
