This is a senior, high-profile role reporting to and supporting the Vice President for Research, Innovation and Impact (VPRII) in the achievement of ambitious research targets for UCD. The successful candidate will play a critical role with a particular emphasis on providing leadership, oversight and management for activities within the research responsibilities of the VPRII.
They will:
- Develop and manage systems to support the research community across the university to succeed in major national and international initiatives
- Lead and manage the UCD Research Administration Unit
- Work with the VPRII and the university community to identify major strategic opportunities, along with a clear implementation plan
- Ensure a fit-for-purpose organisation in support of the research strategy
- Liaise on behalf of the university with key stakeholders and represent the university at major fora nationally and internationally
95 Senior Administrative Officer 1 Salary Scale: €138,681 - €175,326 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
