Introduce:
Founded in 1929, Chongqing University is a high-level, research-oriented comprehensive university and a key institution under China's “211 Project” and “985 Project.” It is also classified as a Class A institution under the “Double First-Class” initiative. The School of Economics and Business Administration was established in 1937, with renowned economist Professor Ma Yinchu serving as its first dean. The School currently offers two first-level doctoral programs and post-doctoral stations in Business Administration and Applied Economics. It boasts 12 national-level talents and over 30 provincial and ministerial-level talents. Additionally, it has earned three major international accreditations in the field of business education (AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS). In the past five years, the School has achieved significant research milestones, including one National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars project, two National Key Research and Development Program projects, four major national projects, and eight key projects. It has undertaken over 70 various national-level research projects. Faculty members have published 15 papers in UTD journals, 20 papers in FT journals, and over 30 papers in top Chinese journals as first authors or corresponding authors. The School has received one Wu Jiapei Fund Award from the China Information Economics Society and one Excellent Achievement Award in Development Economics from the Ninth Zhang Peigang Development Economics Prize. Four faculty members were selected as highly cited scholars by Elsevier in 2023. The School's Business Administration discipline was ranked 15th nationally by the Shanghai Ranking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects in 2023, placing it in the top 7% nationwide, while Applied Economics was ranked 64th, placing it in the top 30%.
