About the opportunity

University of Sydney Business School's Work-Integrated Learning Hub (WIL Hub) is a dedicated teaching unit that offers students dedicated experiential learning programs locally and abroad. . The WIL Hub partners with industries across the globe, and its award-winning programs influence the design and delivery of work-integrated learning programs within the University and beyond.

The WIL Hub is currently seeking two (2) Lecturers in Work-Integrated Learning (Education Focused) to contribute to teaching, learning practice, design, and evaluation within the School. This role encompasses 70% teaching, 20% research, and 10% governance, leadership, and engagement responsibilities.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • participate in enriching teaching and learning endeavours at undergraduate level that align with the University's educational standards and expectations
  • contribute to outstanding educational design, delivery, evaluation and outcomes
  • develop and suggest innovative practices in teaching and learning with a view to improving educational outcomes
  • effectively collaborate in team-teaching environments across our array of programs
  • apply scholarship and knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practice to innovate education
  • perform administrative tasks primarily related to the discipline area
  • foster a positive workplace culture that values and enables diversity of thought, contribution, collaboration, excellence, and achieving outcomes.

About you

  • a PhD relevant in a relevant area of Business Education, Work-Integrated Learning, or, a relevant field
  • demonstration of quality tertiary teaching experience in the field of Work-Integrated Learning or similar, including professional experience units
  • experience with professional experience placements across a range of settings
  • a Mental Health First Aid Certificate or a willingness to obtain one is highly desirable
  • demonstrated excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, and the ability and willingness to contribute to professional and community collaborations and academic administration.
