Job Details
Applications are invited for a permanent post of a Full Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology within UCD School of Chemistry.
The School is the largest of its kind in Ireland and has a long-established track record in research and innovation and our ~30 academic staff have expertise in the fields of Inorganic, Organic and Physical Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Sustainable Chemistry, and Nanoscience. The School is located in the recently refurbished Science South, the first stage of a transformative multimillion euro investment that by 2026 will provide over 66,000 square metres of excellent accommodation and facilities for almost 7,500 students of science in low-carbon, energy efficient buildings. The School hosts approximately 100 PhD students and 20 postdoctoral researchers. Research in the School falls broadly within UCD's strategic themes - Creating a Sustainable Global Society; Transforming through Digital Technology; Building a Healthy World; and Empowering Humanity. Opportunities also exist to engage with UCD One Health scientists, engineers and veterinary and medical clinicians.
95 Full Professor\2010 Salary Scale: €138,681 - €175,326 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
