We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Education and Languages:

Senior Lecturer (Education) (E&L) (Ref: 24001CI)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • planning, developing, coordinating and delivering courses related to curriculum studies, education leadership and management;
  • coordinating courses involving teaching practicum in local primary and secondary schools;
  • undertaking and engaging in course/programme administration and development; and
  • participating in School and University activities and administration.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • a higher degree in an area related to education with relevant experience in school teaching and/or tertiary education;
  • a good knowledge of curriculum theory, language curriculum and management in local schools;
  • ability to contribute to more than one area in Education (English language curriculum, English language teaching, Chinese language curriculum, Curriculum studies, Educational technology, Inclusive education, Counselling, Educational leadership and Management) will be an advantage; and
  • a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, a composite cash/housing allowance, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
