Over the last 3 years we have seen growth in the number of home and international students, we have expanded our national and international partnerships, developed and invested significantly in our campuses and have seen our staffing complement grow and their capability develop.

Through our university strategy: This is Our Time, we are on our way to realise our ambition to be the best modern university in the UK by 2030, and our People directorate is playing a crucial role by supporting delivery of a joined-up People Enabling Strategy with four priorities:

  • Excellence in Leadership and Management
  • Building of High Performing and Inclusive Teams
  • Enhanced Modern Infrastructure to support people
  • Sector Leading EDI and mental health and wellbeing

We are seeking a new Head of Talent who will be responsible for embedding talent management frameworks which will need to carefully balance our needs for improving equality outcomes, establishment discipline and will need to create deep partnerships with our student employability services and partners to ensure we have pipeline support for maintaining coherent talent management outcomes for our workforce. The Head of Talent will also have a key role in delivering outcomes for sector accreditations such as the Technicians Commitment.  If you join us, you will be working with a welcoming, passionate, diverse and inclusive group of HR and OD professionals who are committed to values and excellence, and who have already achieved some great results for inclusion, mental health and wellbeing and sustainability. Your talents will also be fostered and modelled, and we hope you enjoy your journey as we support your potential.
