The role

We are seeking a motivated administrative assistant who is passionate about supporting the research and teaching of a group within the Centre for Environment and Sustainability. This is a fixed term, part time contract till December 2026.

The successful candidate will be responsible for diary management, supporting with project management, event and meeting logistics. You will provide administrative support to the ahead of meetings and events; producing and researching information, preparing papers and other ad-hoc documents as required. You will help maintain a well organised office and meet their management and strategic objectives.

Additionally, you will be responsible for managing travel arrangements, preparing travel documents and visas, organizing meeting papers, and other relevant information. You will also assist with monitoring expenditure against budget plans, handling travel and credit card expenses, and advising on the University’s procurement policies.

About you

The successful candidate should be educated to A-level or equivalent experience (essential GCSE Maths & English to grade C) and proven experience and knowledge of administrative, secretarial and organisational support; operating administrative systems to underpin and support the work of a busy office with diverse and competing demands.
