Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Research Assistant within UCD School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Temp 1yr Part Time

UCD Energy Institute is seeking to hire a Research Assistant for 3 ongoing Sustainability Demonstrator Projects:

  1. UCD Bike Library Pilot: a pilot bike lending programme for staff and students of UCD.
  2. UCD Energy Calculator: a price comparison website for domestic energy customers utilising smart meter data.
  3. Sustainability Curriculum Project: an engaged learning project linking sustainability focused organisations with academic programmes in UCD.

These research projects, funded by the Higher Education Authority and delivered through the Energy Institute, are intended to demonstrate new approaches to sustainability in higher education. We are seeking to expand our team to include a Research Assistant, who will assist with the administration of the projects. This Research Assistant post is an opportunity for a person to use their practical skillset in three ambitious projects that are seeking innovative ways to help our community makes transitions to sustainability.

Research Assistant Salary Scale: €31,150 - €41,033 Per Annum Pro Rata @ 0.2FTE.

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.

Closing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on 12th of June 2024.
