  • Exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Program Manager to join the Daffodil Centre to make a difference and contribute to elimination of cervical cancer in the Indo-Pacific region
  • Base Salary $135,820 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

Cervical cancer continues to be a significant health concern in the Indo-Pacific region, affecting communities and causing preventable deaths. The Elimination Partnership in the Indo-Pacific for Cervical Cancer (EPICC) program, a key component of the Australian Government's Partnerships for a Healthy Region (PHR) initiative, is dedicated to addressing this issue head-on.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Program Manager to lead EPICC's efforts in supporting cervical cancer elimination through a comprehensive approach involving HPV vaccination, screening, and treatment. This ideally includes experience with running large scale projects with or in collaboration with UN agengies.

As a Senior Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging regional partnerships, implementing strategic objectives, and driving sustainable health outcomes and equity.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Work closely with the leadership group managing University contractual agreements and administrative tasks
  • in collaboration with the Daffodil Centre EPICC team, lead and oversee EPICC program activities, including coordination with partner countries and stakeholders
  • support the development and implementation strategies to promote HPV vaccination, screening, and treatment programs across the EPICC consortium membership
  • collaborate with regional partners and stakeholders to strengthen cervical cancer control initiatives
  • monitor program progress, evaluate outcomes, and report on impact and achievements according to DFAT requirements
  • manage a small team

About you

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in public health, international development, or related field
  • proven experience in program management, preferably in the health sector or public health programs.
  • hold an understanding of cervical cancer prevention and control strategies, including HPV vaccination and screening
  • excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • ability to work effectively in multicultural and collaborative environments.
