About the Role

Marketing and Student Recruitment is seeking a talented Digital Marketing Specialist, internally referred to as a Marketing Automation Specialist, to join their passionate and growing team at Flinders University. In this position, you will be responsible for the implementation and optimisation of digital marketing campaigns that support the University’s marketing and student recruitment objectives. Reporting to the Digital Marketing and Automation Lead, you will work towards ensuring the University’s Customer Relationship Management platform (CRM) and other third-party tools are utilised in order to deliver optimal, targeted and personalised messages to students and prospective students at the right time in their academic journey.

As the Digital Marketing Specialist, you will also be accountable for:

  • Designing, building and managing email marketing campaigns with varying complexities. This involves creating workflows, setting up triggers and monitoring campaign performance.
  • Leveraging A/B testing, adjusting campaign workflows, refining audience segmentation and tweaking messaging to continuously optimize marketing campaigns.
  • Ensuring seamless integration between marketing automation platforms and other systems s to enable unified reporting.

About You

As the Marketing Automation Specialist, you will be highly skilled and have demonstrated experience using CRM systems and marketing automation software, preferably Marketo, within a complex organisation. You will possess excellent attention to detail, adept problem-solving skills, and the capability to meet tight deadlines and prioritise tasks as required. You will foster positive professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and will be committed to delivering optimal, targeted, and personalised messages to achieve student growth.

To be successful in this role, you will also demonstrate:

  • Capacity to learn quickly, be technology savvy and stay current in changing product features and services.
  • Extensive experience in a marketing and/or recruitment environment, with a focus on marketing automation.
  • Experience using Marketo (highly desirable).
