Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Post doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 or 2 within School of Medicine
This Post-doctoral level 1 or 2 position is based in UCD Centre for Experimental Pathogen Host Research CEPHR. UCD CEPHR is dedicated to clinical and translational research in Infection Diseases and host pathogen interactions. This facility hosts an immunology suite, a molecular virology laboratory, Containment level 2 and 3 laboratories and a biobanking facility.
This project is funded by the Health Research Board HRB as part of the MONKEYVAX international collaborative trial, with international, multi centre, observational cohort of individuals who meet the indications for IMVANEX vaccination. This vaccine was authorised in Europe by the European Medicines Agency EMA in 2013 for an active immunisation indication against smallpox. Since 22 July 2022, Imvanex is also authorised for the use in prevention of Mpox virus infection in Europe by the EMA under exceptional circumstances. In Ireland this study will be conducted through the HRB Infectious Diseases Clinical Trial Network Ireland ID-CTNI.
Post Doc Level 1 Salary Range: €43.908 - €50,302

Post Doc Level 2 Salary Range: €51,677 - €53,130
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
