About the Opportunity

The Project Support Officer (Post Grant Support Officer), supports lead investigators in complex multi-year research projects, enabling the proactive monitoring of project budgets & forecasts and performance reporting to ensure lead investigators can focus on the research/project deliverables, along with providing support on contractual queries.  The main focus of this particular role is larger, more complex Research Grant Programs with multiyear funding.

About You 

To be successful, you will have completed a degree, and have subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training. 

With high level written and oral communication skills, a keen eye for detail, sophisticated Excel skills and importantly experience in preparing budgets projections and financial modelling, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Well‐developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Exemplary organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and use initiative.
  • Sound knowledge of financial systems and grant finance lifecycle and practices, and an ability to interpret and apply a range of relevant policies and procedures within a large and complex organisation.
