Salary: £32,024 - £36,744 per annum. On successful completion of training (estimated 2-years) the candidate will progress to Grade 7 (currently £37,841 per annum). Grade 7 salary scale is currently £37,841 - £45,148 per annum.

Digital and Information Services (DIS) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint to the post of: Analyst/Programmer (Power Platform) - Graduate Trainee.

The successful candidate will provide IT development and support services and contribute to the design, development and deployment of innovative solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform.  They will also create customised applications and workflows that streamline business processes and enhance efficiency.

Our Graduate Training programme is in Digital and Information Services and is designed to give you the opportunity to make an impact on the digital experience at Queen’s University, working on projects that matter to our students and staff and support our teaching and research activities. 

You will work as part of a professional and dynamic organisation, learning through on-the-job experiences and participating in a bespoke training programme. You will learn about all aspects of the University’s approach to systems management and development, evolve your awareness of project management methodologies and enhance your technical capability.  Working with colleagues and external consultants in a hybrid environment, you will deliver agile and business-focused solutions.

We are looking for passionate and motivated team members who are interested in learning new tools and technologies, can think ‘outside the box’ and apply their problem-solving skills to deliver improvements to the user experience.

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate: 

  • Minimum of a 2.1 degree, or higher degree, in a science-related subject with a significant computing component.  
  • Demonstrable knowledge and ability to use the Power Platform (Power Pages/Portal/Automate) to build end-user solutions.
  • Experience of web technologies e.g., HTML, JSON, JavaScript, CSS.
