The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University appoints a selection procedure for the position
Instructor of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation
of the Faculty of Medicine MU
(with shorter working hours 4 – 12 hours per week)
The Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation is an educational and research institution of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University. Provides teaching of study programs in non-medical fields.

We are looking for physiotherapists with a focus on the following areas:
- kinesiology, applied kinesiology, biomechanics
- propaedeutics in rehabilitation, neurophysiology
- gynecology
- soft and mobilization techniques
- practical teaching of propaedeutics
Place of work: Brno
The scope of your work will be:
- participation in theoretical and practical teaching at the workplace
- preparation of the study and teaching materials
- involvement in research and development activities, including the publication and presentation of research results
- share in the organizational provision of research and pedagogical activities, incl. related administration
Required qualification:
- Completed university education in the physiotherapy, or equivalent education attained abroad
- Professional experience in the given field of physiotherapy, teaching experience
- The specific requirements for each focus:
- Physiotherapist with a focus on kinesiology, applied kinesiology, biomechanics and teaching activities in this field, the ability to work with patients with spinal disabilities is an advantage
- Physiotherapist with a focus on propaedeutics in rehabilitation, neurophysiology and pedagogy in this field, a completed Vojt's reflex locomotion course is an advantage
- Physiotherapist with a focus on the field of gynecology and teaching activities in this field, the ability to organize conferences, seminars and educational courses for the Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic is an advantage
- Physiotherapist with a focus on the field of soft and mobilization techniques and teaching activities in this field, working in the outpatient department of a university hospital is an advantage
- Physiotherapist with a focus on the field of examination methods and teaching activities in this area within acute rehabilitation department, the ability to organize conferences, seminars and a completed course in Vojt's reflex locomotion is an advantage
- Capability of independent professional and research work including publishing activities
- Capability to actively participate at an international conference or professional seminar
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- Fluent Czech (spoken and written)
- Active approach, initiative and willingness for further education
- Moral integrity
