About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative educational expert of Teacher Education in Curriculum and Pedagogy (Secondary Education).

Applicants must have a commitment to supporting preservice teacher success, and to making positive disciplinary contributions either via a program of high-quality research or via the scholarship and governance of learning. The successful candidate will teach into Initial Teacher Education programs at the University of Wollongong and potentially other programs, including the Master of Teaching and Master of Education.

NOTE: As part of our commitment to fostering excellence in all forms, applicants may apply as a balanced Research and Teaching position (Level B, C, or D) or as a specialised Teaching and Governance position (Level B, C, or D). In the former case, a promising trajectory of research and a history of success relative to opportunity is expected. In the latter, recent and relevant experience is expected either teaching in schools or in supporting positive school-university partnerships, especially Professional Experience.

The School of Education sits within the Faculty of the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities Faculty and offers Initial Teacher Education programs in the Early Years, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Master of Teaching, Master of Education and Master in Autism Studies.
