The Office of Student Affairs (SAO) is committed to providing students with a wide range of experiential learning opportunities for holistic personal growth. 

Within the SAO framework, the Cultural Literacy (LIVE) offers a wide range of co-curricular activities that allow students to explore, experience and express their interest in arts and culture. These activities are designed to enrich character development, cultivate leadership skills, foster a creative mindset, and promote social and psychological well-being. Through hands-on experiences, students have the opportunity to enhance their aesthetic awareness, develop a deeper understanding of cultural diversity and heritage, stimulate their creative thinking, broaden their global perspectives, and explore their potential to contribute to the well-being of the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Event planning and execution;
  • Preparation of promotional materials and marketing;
  • Updating the website and other online platforms;
  • Handling inquiries and office administrative matters;
  • Undertaking any tasks related to LIVE and SAO; 
  • Flexibility in working hours, including irregular hours, weekends, public holidays, and occasional work outside the office, is required; and
  • Other assigned ad hoc duties by supervisor(s).

Requirements:

  • An associate degree or above, plus one year of relevant experience. Strong passion for promoting arts and culture, and substantial experience in event management , and knowledge in videography and audio system operation would be highly desirable; 
  • Essential attributes for this role include good communication and interpersonal skills, a strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation, the ability to work both independently;
  • As part of a team, being proactive and creative, and a willingness to tackle challenges and work under pressure;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese is required; and
  • Sound knowledge of computer applications, particularly MS Office and Adobe Illustrator.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years.  Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement. 

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
