We have an opportunity for a Junior Product Manager to join our team of product managers and product designers responsible for developing and innovating new website products, features and improvements that deliver valuable outcomes for our users and customers, from idea to launch.

We are based in London and our team works in a hybrid style between home and office. We work in cross-functional squads and the product team is split into data and website facing product areas.

Key responsibilities

As a Junior Product Manager at THE, you will work with and support product managers and business stakeholders with optimising products, queries, helping to deliver and identify requirements, validate ideas and customer feedback, support business acceptance testing for new product features, workarounds, and issue management.

You will:

  • Be part of a team supporting ever-evolving products, raising ideas, and working with business stakeholders, product managers and squads to iterate and improve on THE products.
  • Ensure product solutions are issue free and have a continuous improvement mindset ensuring the product remains aligned to our business and customer needs as well as overall customer satisfaction.
  • Actively engage internally and externally with the broader product management community to advance your skills and experience as a product manager

You will be responsible for:

  • Owning the business-as-usual backlog, working closely with product and technical leads to prioritise fixes, enhancements, and regular scheduled releases
  • Supporting Product Managers by attending meetings, liaising with relevant teams and /or customers to ensure requirements are understood and documented
  • Supporting Product Managers with product performance reporting
  • Writing user stories and raising bugs and issues in Jira – understanding the root cause of issues identified and identifying improvements to reduce re-occurrence
  • Reviewing and testing new features or bug fixes (post QA) prior to releasing those to business stakeholders or customers
  • Updating content management systems and using flexible components to create new user and customer outcomes at pace

You will need to:

  • Have a positive, can-do attitude and contribute to a hardworking and motivated team environment
  • Work closely with Product Designers to support the design of customer experiences, concepts, and prototypes and to help set up and coordinate customer interviews
  • Communicate clearly with engineers and be able to understand technical concepts
  • Help set up and co-ordinate customer interviews, write up the transcripts and collate and theme customer feedback and pain points
  • Effectively capture requirements and translate those into user stories
  • Work closely with cross-functional squads on execution of product features
  • Take commercial and marketing stakeholders through the product features, integrating feedback and ensuring alignment throughout the product lifecycle
  • Support in optimising existing products in the market and articulate clear product value statements
  • Work with the marketing and commercial teams to achieve clear proposition and Go-To-Market messaging.

Person Specification

What we're looking for:

  • Have experience working in a role adjacent to the product lifecycle, for example in engineering, customer success/support, delivery management, marketing, SEO, or website content management
  • Have a strong understanding of the product lifecycle
  • Are ambitious about becoming a successful product manager, and are taking extracurricular steps to upskill yourself in this area
  • Have some understanding of SEO and Content Management Systems
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can apply these effectively when working with stakeholders, regardless of seniority
  • Have strong organisation and time management skills and are a natural problem solver
  • Are comfortable working as part of a fast-paced team
  • Are looking for a fantastic opportunity to be mentored by a strong cross-functional team and a group of experienced product manager and designers
