Our University

Ravensbourne University London is an innovative, industry-focused university located at the heart of London’s newest creative community on the Greenwich Peninsula.  We're champions of creativity and collaboration, dedicated to giving our learners the specialist skills and opportunities they need for outstanding careers in digital media and design.

We occupy a prime location in an award-winning building which has been hailed as a masterclass in functional design and public art and was awarded the best Higher Education building in 2011 by RIBA.

As part of our ambitious programme of development and change, we have recently introduced a series of new courses, including the BSc (Hons) Digital Marketing. The course combines theory with practical application and skills for students to be successful in the field of Digital Marketing.

We are now seeking Senior Lecturers/Associate Professor to contribute to teaching on the Digital Marketing course, to develop interactive and creative teaching materials, to establish good industry links between Ravensbourne and the digital marketing field, to be a contact for students on the course and to provide high quality support to the students.

The Role

Our BSc (Hons) Digital Marketing course teaches the skills required to lead on and build effective digital marketing campaigns, through mediums such as social media, paid search, organic SEO, omni-channel services and offline integrations. This is combined with a focus on responsibility in the profession, with ethical and social marketing a key component of the course, and a look to the future in the study of emerging technologies and trends.

Ravensbourne University London is seeking to recruit two dynamic, creative and innovative educators in the subject of Digital Marketing. The successful candidate will have responsibility for their own modules and for delivering teaching associated with these modules. There will also be opportunities to engage with other modules where possible to develop the candidates personally and professionally.

The Candidate

You will combine professional experience, academic rigour, and a strong understanding of current industry practice to create an excellent, inclusive learning environment for our students.  The individuals that we are seeking will have an academic background and/or industry experience, potentially relevant industry contacts and the ability to contribute to the further development of the course.

We have roles available at different levels and can potentially offer some flexibility in the fraction offered. If you think you would be a good fit for this role but would prefer a higher or lower fraction, please do apply and this can be considered. There may also be potential for additional paid work should the candidate wish to take this on. This will be discussed as and when opportunities arise.
