THE POSTLecturer in Project Management

The successful candidate will play a central role in delivering and developing the MSc Project Management on our London campus. They will be engaged in the development of educational thinking, practice, and research in the broad areas of curriculum design, learning and teaching, and assessment. They will be knowledgeable in contemporary pedagogies and be familiar with online learning environments and the principles of digital education. They will also be able to evidence positive practice in these areas.

The successful candidate should have the following:

  • An undergraduate qualification in a STEM related discipline.
  • A postgraduate qualification in a discipline allied to Project Management.
  • A PhD in Project Management or related area (or be close to completion). Equivalent professional experience also considered.
  • Advance HE Fellowship or appropriate teaching qualification.
  • Evidence of experience of learning, teaching and assessment of project management and related subjects in Higher Education.
  • Evidence of knowledge and understanding of contemporary pedagogies.
  • Evidence of published research profile commensurate with career stage.
  • Evidence of experience in module/programme administration.
  • Evidence of familiarity with online learning environments and the principles of digital education.
  • Evidence of academic and professional preparation consistent with an ability to contribute at a high level to the programme curriculum.

The current academic structure and nomenclature at UWS is as follows:

  • AC2 – Lecturer (first time academic post)
  • AC3 – Lecturer
  • AC4 – Senior Lecturer (alternate titles used in different Universities include Principal Lecturer or Associate Professor)
