Since 1966, Flinders University has been one of Australia’s most innovative and forward-thinking institutions of higher education. With campuses in Adelaide and throughout rural South Australia and the Northern Territory, the University is committed to creating knowledge and transforming lives by way of leading-edge teaching, learning and research activities, across a broad range of disciplines.
Presently, the University is seeking a seasoned leader to become the new Discipline Lead for Paramedicine. Encompassing a broad range of responsibilities, this senior position will direct advances in research excellence, learning and teaching activities, advocacy, strategic directions, operations, and capacity building.
Reporting to the Dean (People and Resources) or delegate the role requires a high calibre professional to lead education and research in our discipline of paramedicine, including responsibility for the flagship undergraduate program as well as postgraduate courses. The successful candidate will be an accomplished academic and researcher, with sound theoretical and technical knowledge, as well as significant leadership capability and the ability to implement a strategic vision and realise the opportunities inherent to it. Understanding the nuances of organisational culture and uplift and the breadth of contexts for paramedicine practice, the role will allow for the further development of a broad culture of excellence within the School, ensuring a contemporary approach to curriculum, course delivery, research, team development, and partnerships across the Australian Central Corridor.
