Role Description

About the Role

The TEBS Development Manager will support the Head of TEBS in delivering a range of income driven business activities in providing innovative products, solutions and consultancy that address complex customer requirements across the training sphere. These include government, industry and academic organisations across the UK and its international allies.

You will be a self-starter, able to think independently and combine both business development and deep technical programming development skills.  You will help further develop and manage the TEBS Pathway course management system, together with a portfolio of other initiatives. You will be responsible for defining requirements, monitoring, modifying, testing and delivering high impact TEBS initiatives, including activity across other Schools in the University and reporting regularly to the Head of TEBS and other stakeholders.

You will have personal responsibility for managing a range of current and emerging projects including:

  • Centre of Excellence in Energetic Materials (CoEEM) – providing development support to aid delivery of strategic priorities and objectives.
  • Development and growth of the Higher Education Export Control Association (HEECA) architecture and sector wide engagement in collaboration with the Security Commercial function.
  • Support and lead on new initiatives that align with the TEBS rationale to allow large populations to access, train and assess using our engaging, timely and relevant knowledge and training platforms. This will include proposing content development and submission.

About You

You will be educated to degree level in a software, business, or process related area, or equivalent experience.  You will have extensive experience with Adobe ColdFusion and other web technologies.  You will have experience of one or more of the following:

  • Proven experience with software development
