The Department of Architecture invites applications for one Tenure Track Assistant Professor position in History/Theory/Criticism of Architecture. 

The Department of Architecture in the College of Design and Engineering is ranked among the top 10 in the world, and Asia’s best in Architecture/Built Environment, by the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings (2023). It offers the professionally accredited Master of Architecture programme as well as a range of graduate and undergraduate programmes in related fields such as urban planning/design, landscape architecture and conservation. The faculty is correspondingly diverse and international. The Department of Architecture at the National University of Singapore invites applications for one Tenure track (Assistant Professor) position in architectural history and theory. We are particularly interested in candidates specializing in Asia. An innovative, interdisciplinary approach to researching and teaching about the built environment in Asia will be especially valued.

A Ph.D. in the history and theory of architecture or a closely related field completed by the start date is required. Candidates should have a record of scholarship and a promising research agenda for future development.

  4. A Statement of Research (maximum three pages) and a writing sample
  5. Names of four referees with contact details (who will be contacted only if shortlisted). Please highlight any who is a member of your PhD dissertation committee.
