Times Higher Education is hiring a Data Administrator (Salesforce) on a 3 months contract. This position involves resolving customer inquiries in a timely manner and provide support and assistance in a face-paced, high volume data environment. We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated, task-oriented individual who can work independently with minimal oversight. The candidate should be a flexible and creative thinker who, along with successfully managing their administrative workload, will contribute to the customer experience department by finding ways to continually improve our processes.


  • Serve as the first point of contact for customer email, resolving customer queries and complaints; determining the cause of the query/problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the issue; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution via phone and email.
  • Handling Account Manager queries via Slack, email and telephone.
  • Processing and checking all new commercial account requests submitted to the Account Management team, to confirm that all relevant fields have been completed accurately and that Salesforce CRM records are correct.
  • Maintain records of data validation activities, account information.
  • Collaborate with Data Supervisors, Data Editors, Data operation Manager and Ranking Project Owner to escalate/ resolve data issues.
  • Meet data validation targets.
  • Maintain a high level of internal customer service and data accuracy.
  • Provide support for data queries and administrative tasks.
  • Where required customer service calls will be required to be made to support institution with the data collection cycle.

Experience required:

  • Experience with using CRM (Salesforce)
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Customer support experience
  • Data entry skills
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently as well as working in a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with change and growth
  • Ability to manage escalations and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Ability to process a high volume of transactions with proficiency, accuracy, and integrity.

Ideal candidate will have a “can do” attitude and a willingness to understand the product and “ask questions” to ensure the “data entered” and maintained is with accordance to THE standards.
