About the opportunity

As a result of continued growth and success in our early childhood education programs, we currently have multiple opportunities available across academic levels B (Lecturer), C (Senior Lecturer) and D (Associate Professor). The level of appointment will be determined by the qualifications, skills and experience of the preferred candidate(s).

At the level Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, you will have the opportunity to significantly impact our students learning experiences through student-centered teaching practices, the development of engaging programs and course materials and innovative curriculum design. You will also be able to undertake research and/or engagement activities that align with the Faculty’s existing and emerging priorities.  

At the Associate Professor level, you will be expected to strengthen our teaching and research excellence and mentor a team of early to mid-career academics to deliver quality teaching, research and perfom administrative, service and leadership  to Faculty and broader community.  Extensive leadership opportunities also available, including foundation Chair of Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) and Associate Dean.  

About you

We are seeking applications from innovative academics with experience teaching at a tertiary level in early childhood education.  You will have expertise and experience leading and undertaking design, implementation and evaluation of curriculum and resources that support and enhance the effectiveness of student learning.

At the Associate Professor level, you will be expected to have had a strong focus toward research contributions and success with external grant funding and higher degree research student supervision.

Research and/or leadership experience that supports positive outcomes for the unique challenges faced by International students and experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of innovative work-integrated-learning experiences for ECEC students would be advantageous but not essential.

Salary and benefits

We have up to six (6) full-time, continuing positions available at any one of campuses located in Coffs Harbour, Gold Coast or Lismore campuses at Academic Level B, C or D:

  • Academic Level D: $154,080 - $169,474, plus super up to 17%. The total full-time package will be in the range of $180,273 - $198,284.
  • Academic Level C: $128,427 - $147,663, plus super up to 17%. The total full-time package will be in the range of $150,259 - $172,765.
  • Academic Level B: $105,344 – $124,585, plus super up to 17%. The total full-time package will be in the range of $123,252 - $145,764.

Generous relocation support is available to the preferred candidate(s) relocating to one of regions to commence employment.
