Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 within UCD School of Medicine.
This post is part of a research programme that is funded by the Health Research Board. The programme will undertake research in six areas of the treatment of psychosis, specifically:
- increasing autonomy in decision-making in relation to medication;
- protecting the physical health of people with psychosis;
- treatment resistance;
- prescribing antipsychotic for females;
- the role of nutritional supplements as adjunctive treatments and
- developing a clinical tool to support service users and clinicians in making decisions in relation to discontinuation.
The successful candidate will work on workpackage 6, which will involve conducting systematic reviews on current guidelines for methods to discontinue antipsychotic medication. It will also involve developing a large database from international studies on the predictors of outcome following discontinuation of antipsychotic medication. This is an academic research role, where you will conduct a specified programme of research supported by research training and development under the supervision and direction of a Principal Investigator
Post Doc Level 1 Salary Range: €42,783 - €49,177
Appointment on the above range will be dependent on qualifications and experience
