About the Role
As the Lecturer in Professional practice, you will have a well-established professional profile as an expert in the area of clinical nursing practice and education and a commitment to furthering inter-professional learning and practice. You will demonstrate the values of the department, school and faculty: Collaboration and Teamwork, Compassion, Respect, Integrity and Accountability.
Your role reports to the Coordinator of the Master of Nursing Science (entry-to-practice) degree.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Facilitate students to meet the NMBA standards for the Registered Nurse
- Contribute to the preparation of scholarly papers for conferences, seminars and/or publications related to clinical education
- Support Master of Nursing Science students in the development of critical thinking skills
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses who are highly committed to developing excellence and innovation in simulation-based learning and supporting the future nursing workforce. You will effectively demonstrate highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to follow a student-centred approach.
You will also have:
- A Master of Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Current clinical experience as a Registered Nurse working in an area of acute care nursing
- Demonstrated a record of professional achievement in clinical/simulation-based and/or assessment-based teaching

This position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check to ensure the University provides a safe environment for everyone.
