Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a team of developers, providing guidance and direction as needed;
  2. Oversee the planning, design, implementation, test and delivery of system development projects;
  3. Collaborate with other departments to ensure project implementations are aligned with overall business objectives;
  4. Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards;
  5. Identify and manage project risks and issues, and provide regular project status updates to the management team;
  6. Continuously improve the software development process and implement best practices;
  7. Hire and train new team members as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
  2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a management role;
  3. Strong leadership and team management skills;
  4. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  5. Experience with Agile development methodologies;
  6. Experience with software development tools and technologies;
  7. Familiar with programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript;
  8. Familiar with database management systems such as MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL;
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  10. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
  11. Fluency in English is preferred;
  12. Expertise in higher education industry is preferred.

Salary and Benefits

Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK-SZ and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable in the PRC. The appointee will be based at the University campus in Shenzhen, PRC.
