Job Description
The appointee will be part of the team conducting the ‘Breast Cancer Screening and Prevention Programme’ under Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine; assisting Principal Investigator, Co-investigator and Program Manager in the building and expanding of the current database for research on breast cancer and screening.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
The appointee will be required/trained to:
- Adhere to compliance with Research Governance, Good Clinical Practice, Data Protection and Ethical Requirements
- Data management; i.e. collection and extraction of research data, ensuring its accuracy and completeness. Appointee is expected to uphold the highest standard of confidentiality of sensitive data
- Conducting data analysis
- Required to do report writing, presentations, and publication of results and findings in peer-reviewed journals
- Contribute to development and writing of research grant proposals
- Conduct research study in accordance to study protocol; e.g. plan and manage project schedule
- Assist Investigators’ with required site research administration; e.g. draft and review research agreements, liaison with research office for reporting, liaison with collaborators and external vendors to for logistical planning
- Other ad hoc administrative duties, e.g. schedule meetings, minute writing, procurement of research-related items, claim submission etc.
Qualifications
The applicant should:
- Bachelor's degree in biomedical science, bioinformatics, statistics, data science or a related field
- Strong in analytical skills. Preferably proficient in statistical software such as SPSS and/or R
- Be able to work independently and in a team
- Have exceptional interpersonal, written and communication skills
- Good organisation and administrative skills
