Job Description
The National University of Singapore invites applications for research assistant position in the Polepalli lab at the Centre for Life Sciences - Neurobiology Program and the Department of Anatomy, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Appointments will be made on a 1-yr contract basis, with the possibility of an extension.
Purpose of the post
The appointee will be a research assistant who will conduct research in neuroscience a focus on elucidating the synaptic and circuit mechanisms that mediate memory-guided behaviours. This position could potentially be converted to a part-time PhD position.
Main duties and responsibilities
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated candidate who will be involved in a multi-disciplinary project and is expected to perform rodent survival surgeries, molecular biology assays and rodent behaviour.
Qualifications
The applicant should:
Have a bachelor or a master degree (or expect to graduate in the next 2-3 months) Have a proven track record of research (preferably in neuroscience, psychology or a related field)
